Acupuncture
Most people know that acupuncture is an excellent remedy for many types of pain. But acupuncture can also reduce stress, help with infertility, weight loss and addiction problems, and alleviate cold and flu symptoms.
Along with or as an adjunct to Western medicine, acupuncture provides highly effective treatment for many common complaints, and may provide additional relief for problems that do not respond completely to Western medical treatment.
According to traditional Chinese medical theory, acupuncture promotes the body’s innate ability to heal itself by balancing the flow of Qi(Chi) – the body’s electromagnetic energy or life force – along channels identified over centuries of meticulous clinical observation by Chinese practitioners. Tiny disposable needles are inserted along these channels at areas of maximum energy – the acupuncture points.
Chinese herbs are used separately or in conjunction with Acupuncture to maintain health and to treat a variety of health problems. Herbs can stimulate the body’s natural healing process and normalize imbalances in the body.
Herbs are mainly plant based, although some formulas include mineral or animal products. Herb formulas are usually packaged as pills, powders, or tablets, depending on their intended use.
Chinese herbal treatments are safe and effective, with few side effects when prescribed by skilled practitioners. Our clinic uses the highest quality natural herbs that are free of known contaminants and harmful chemicals. All our herbal products meet the highest GMP standards.
Herbs regulate the body naturally and are usually more gentle than pharmaceutical drugs. Side effects, although possible, are uncommon and are usually minor. We carefully monitor dosages and herb-drug interactions to achieve positive results.

Tui Na
The ancient Chinese massage technique called Tui Na is noted for its characteristic use of stretching, vibration, rubbing, tapping, and extending range of motion of the joints. Shiatsu (finger pressure) and Anma are traditional Japanese Techniques and performed on pressure points of the body using deep pressure from thumb and/or elbow.
Nutritional Counseling
We offer Tailored Dietary Advice because we believe that the most potent medicines that our patients can consume are the foods they eat everyday.
You may be surprised to learn that certain foods that western diets consider good for you can be actually detrimental to your long term health.
Nutritional Counseling is provided as an integral part of our practice. Based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a detailed analysis of your overall condition, we can provide dietary prescriptions that can help you increase your energy levels, boost your immune system, improve your overall health, and help you control weight.
Many think that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is only about acupuncture and are surprised to learn that TCM includes five pillars: acupuncture, massage, Chinese Herbs, diet therapy, and Qigong.
Diet therapy is one of the most important and least costly ways to restore and maintain health.
Qi is the life force or vital energy that flows through your body. Gong means effort or work used to cultivate qi. Qigong can be used to harmonize your body, mind, and spirit, optimize the body’s immune system, and help prevent disease.
As part of our treatment protocol, we provide Qigong therapy as well as prescribe specific Qigong exercises that are especially useful for treating a variety of health problems.
We also teach Spring Forest Qigong to help patients stay strong and healthy. This healing system is a method of balancing vital energy using movement, mental focus, sounds and breathing techniques to maintain health, restore vitality and calm the mind.
It was developed by Chun Yilin, who was named 2010 Qigong Master of the Year at the 12th World Congress on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has created a simple yet powerful system and envisions “A healer in every family, a world without pain.”
